Accountant

The Accountant will support monthly accounting processes, financial reporting, account reconciliations, payroll-related support, and communication with community business offices. The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-service focused, comfortable working with accounting and billing systems, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly accounting processes, account reconciliations, month-end close support, and financial reporting tasks. Verify the accuracy of financial data entered into billing and accounting systems. Assist with audit requests, supporting documentation, and follow-up items requiring community input. Serve as a communication link between Corporate Finance, community Business Office Managers, Executive Directors, operations leadership, Human Resources, and other internal departments. Provide guidance to community teams on billing, accounting, payroll-related processes, and financial procedures. Prepare reports, summaries, and analyses for management review. Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, user support, and process improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve controls, standardize processes, and increase reporting efficiency across communities. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting, healthcare finance, senior living, or business office experience preferred. Payroll processing experience is a plus. Experience with accounting software, resident billing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite required. Advanced Excel skills preferred. Strong understanding of accounts receivable, billing processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, organization, and follow-through. Preferred Experience Experience in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or long-term care. Multi-site accounting or corporate finance experience. Experience supporting Business Office Managers and community leadership teams. This position is based in the Corporate Office and requires regular communication with community-based staff, corporate finance, operations leadership, and other internal departments.
