Join Our Team! CDC has a full-time opportunity for a Scheduling Coordinator (Call Center) at our Business Office. This position serves a critical role in the clinic. It is part of a team of people who answer phone calls, schedule appointments, communicate with patients regarding scheduling options, and use our software (electronic health record) to schedule patients.

No prior dental experience required - just a great attitude and an ability and willingness to learn a new industry!

Scheduling Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

• Receive calls from patients and assist them in scheduling appointments using our software.
• Register new patients
• Explain ER protocol/procedures to patients
• Arrange for language interpreters as needed
• Maximize time efficiency in scheduling by utilizing procedure codes for doctor time
• Check that lab cases have been received the day before treatment, and call in lab cases if needed
• Check account balances of patients coming in and prepare to discuss any monies due
• Copy and scan documents and X-rays into patients' charts
• Request chart/patient transfers
• Record patient issues/conversations in communication log or chart

Flexible Hours:

• Monday through Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Scheduling Coordinator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably within an office setting
• Bilingual proficiency in Hmong, Karen, Somali or Spanish preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced within MS Office or other computer software
