The role requires deep familiarity with Early Intervention processes and a demonstrated ability to facilitate effective meetings, ensuring comprehensive support and development for children in specialized settings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in early childhood education or child development
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with administrative endorsements
• At least 2–3 years of direct experience in early childhood classrooms or program environments
• Thorough understanding of Illinois Early Learning Standards and ISBE regulations
• Proficient leadership skills, including staff training, coaching, and building collaborative teams
• Strong abilities in conducting meetings, facilitating early intervention processes, and managing required documentation
• Excellent communication skills for partnering with staff and engaging families

Responsibilities:

• Supervise early childhood special education services and lead program improvement initiatives
• Facilitate Early Intervention transitions and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Support and mentor classroom staff, providing ongoing training in best practices
• Develop strong partnerships with families, maintaining clear, compassionate communication
• Ensure all program components comply with state and district regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address student needs and drive optimal outcomes
