We are actively seeking a dedicated and culturally sensitive Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our passionate team at the Community Counseling Center. The successful candidate will hold a valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R and will engage deeply with patients to provide compassionate and effective mental health care in an outpatient setting.

Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to connect with clients through virtual platforms while maintaining a professional office environment at our outpatient facility. Our team collaborates virtually to ensure accessibility and stability in patient care. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet the needs of our patients effectively. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with opportunities for additional hours based on case load and patient requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments that analyze individual client circumstances, experiences, and needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans leveraging evidence-based therapeutic interventions that resonate with each patient’s cultural context.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to foster resilience, support recovery, and enhance the overall mental health of clients.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care focused on holistic patient wellbeing.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to assist clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources.
\n
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate documentation in line with legal and ethical requirements utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training to continuously improve our care approach.

• Stay updated on emerging research and best practices within mental health care, with a focus on cultural considerations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, effective treatment methodologies, and cultural competency in therapeutic settings.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy with a commitment to culturally responsive approaches.

• Excellent skills in crisis intervention and a calm demeanor during challenging situations.
\n
• Superb interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse patient population.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• Dedicated to maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in all client interactions.

• Adept at working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
