Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Louisiana Educator Certificate (Special Education preferred; will also consider Elementary 1-5 certification)
• Experience or strong interest in working with students who have special needs
• Ability to adapt to a variety of settings and classroom situations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and differentiated support to students with individualized education plans
• Develop, implement, and regularly update educational strategies and IEPs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to facilitate student progress and participation
• Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement, reporting on progress toward specific goals
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with school policies and state requirements
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
