Desired Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Educator Certificate (required)
• SPED Educator Certificate strongly preferred; will also consider candidates with Elementary 1-5 Certificate
• Experience or confidence working with a variety of special education settings and student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
• Support behavioral and academic interventions as needed

Position Details:

• Full-time, onsite role (35 hours per week)
• Single-site placement
• Academic year contract (August 3, 2026 – May 26, 2027)
• Flexible to work in any classroom setting
