Facilities Project Manager

We are currently hiring a Facilities Project Manager located in Los Angeles, CA. This position will support facilities projects for public works entities and will collaborate heavily with project stakeholders and client staff to successfully execute a variety of projects. Our public sector team are prime consultants to a variety of municipality, county, state agency’s, and public educational institutions nationally. You will be teaming with project, program, and client leadership to provide premier public facilities for the local communities we support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide project coordination and management support to department activities and projects; assure compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations. Prepare and maintain reports, records and files related to assigned activities; maintain data for long and short‑range planning; compose written and oral communications in accordance with District policies and procedures. Review, analyze and make recommendations for professional services contracts. Oversee facility planning and design contracts; review architectural plans for conformance to functional facility relationships and growth possibilities. Plan the renovation, modernization and construction of public facilities. Assist in performing fiscal analysis related to facilities planning and construction accounting, budgeting, invoicing and payment requests. Serve as a liaison between client personnel and outside agencies regarding facilities planning activities; communicate with client staff, consultants and representatives of public agencies regarding planning requirements, schedules and issues. Manage a variety of special projects as directed; research, apply and maintain current knowledge of laws, codes, rules and regulations related to assigned activities. Provide information to Facilities management regarding assigned functions; provide advisement of unusual trends or problems and recommend appropriate corrective action. Assist in construction closeout processes. Operate a computer and assigned software to input data and develop reports; Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Bluebeam, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software. Attend and represent the client in a variety of meetings, conferences and governmental hearings as assigned; prepare and deliver oral presentations as assigned. Prepare and deliver oral presentations as requested. Preferred Education and Experience BS in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Construction Project Management, or Engineering. Preferred Certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this full‑time role is $84,400.00‑$112,533.35 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
