Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite, providing home care as necessary within the vibrant community of West Palm Beach. Our facility includes a spacious, 5000 square feet area equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and technologies that facilitate diverse treatment methodologies. Operating Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, our environment encourages continuous learning and professional development through collaboration with experienced staff and access to ongoing training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' needs and objectives to create effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on improving range of motion, strength, and mobility for orthopedic patients.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to develop heightened performance levels, thereby enhancing patients' overall quality of life.
• Implement and demonstrate various therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques tailored specifically to each patient's situation.
• Encourage self-management strategies to reduce reliance on medications and promote non-surgical solutions.
• Provide education on fitness, wellness, and lifestyle choices that support long-term health goals.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible as part of our commitment to quality care.
• Maintain communication with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to co-manage patient care effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily serves patients insured through private medical plans, enabling a focus on personalized and direct patient care. We receive a diverse range of clients, from athletes recovering from surgeries to seniors seeking to maintain mobility and independence. Our commitment is to support our patients through every stage of their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they feel empowered and informed about their treatment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Florida State License as a Physical Therapist with no disciplinary actions in your professional history.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy and the ability to design and implement comprehensive, individualized exercise protocols.
• Experience working with orthopedic conditions in an outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage patients throughout their recovery process.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient facility.
• Knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional growth.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
