Enterprise Account Executive, Tableau (Higher Education)

Day to Day Engage existing customers and new leads to sell the entire Analytics platform. Build positive, trusted relationships with key team members and C‑suite decision makers and help customers realize value from Salesforce investments. Drive analytics discussions and identify use cases within accounts. Develop opportunities through warm leads and whitespace prospecting. Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction. Assist with the development and execution of overall long‑term strategy for the account, aligned to customer business objectives. Coordinate internal resources (product support, customer success, sales engineering) to meet customer business needs. Assist with account planning, coordinating with other sales resources to ensure strategic alignment. Manage complex sales cycles and present the value proposition of the Tableau platform to C‑level executives. Define and complete territory/account sales plans, then meet and exceed quotas through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing opportunities. Develop and manage a sales pipeline, prospect, assess, and move multiple transactions simultaneously. Required Experience 10+ years of quota‑carrying software or technology sales and account management experience; ideally focusing on large enterprise accounts. Strong teamwork in a matrixed environment with partners such as Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Sales Leaders, and Executives. Highly driven individual with execution focus, strong sense of urgency, and belief in Tableau's mission. A mix of business curiosity and technical ability to address customer data challenges and earn trust. Solution‑selling mentality: develop plans and solutions, articulate value, and navigate customer complexities to drive revenue. Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience evaluated against core competencies such as leadership, military, volunteer, or work experience. Preferred Experience Experience selling in software industry or technical sales (e.g., SaaS). Experience with analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling, or business intelligence. Salary Range Base salary range: $141,550 - $189,350 annually (US). For locations in California, New York, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Washington DC: $155,700 - $208,300 per year.
