Beyond our materials, we're proud of our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and empowering people from all walks of life to thrive and make a meaningful impact.Job Description:Your Impact in This RoleAs a Mechanic 2, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Proficiency in basic principles of mechanical troubleshooting and repair (able to perform the task with no supervision)Knowledge of the basic principles of (has had training, but has not proven proficiency and sometimes requires supervision of task):Inspection and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipmentMechanical Installation of facility machineryRoot cause analysis and counter measureProduct quality analysisPreventative maintenance process of facility machineryOperation monitoring of facility machineryBasic equipment fabricationFabrication of repair parts and solutionsTroubleshooting and repair of:Optical SortationCrushers and ScreenersCompressed Air and DryersOrganic Removal SystemsMetal Remove (Fe and NonFe)ConveyanceCreate and ensure environment of safety for self and othersComplete daily maintenance and repair logsMaintain a clean work areaMaintain and secure work toolsOther duties as assignedReparationsRepair mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic malfunctions.Analyze the cause of the problemPrepare maintenance work by using correct tools, spare parts, drawings, procedures, ...Correctly solve the problem by replacing or repairing parts (assembling, disassembling, welding, grinding, burning, and sheet metal work) and escalate to or consulting with the responsible person or colleagues in case of irregularitiesProvide input to improve plant operations to prevent future similar problems, and discuss with the responsible person.External organizationsAssist external technicians with the installation of new machines, perform all connections, adjust machines and, if necessary, escort outside firms around the company premises.ProductionAssist operators with problems that obstruct production in order to get production back up and running as quickly as possible.SafetyMonitor compliance with construction plans, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.Ensure the necessary actions, including administration such as NMRAs, are taken to ensure the safe operation of the facilitiesApply Sibelco's life-saving rules and the LOTOTO principle: Lock Out, Tag Out, Try OutEnsure that the necessary PPE is available for each installation and that it is used correctlyMake correct use of the available tools and associated proceduresExecute and apply procedures such as LMRA, work permits, standard operating procedures and specific safety instructionsCommunicate with other departments during workReport safety problemsMonitor compliance and accuracy of construction plans, pneumatic and hydraulic schemesImplement and participate in safety improvements and actions(Technical) CapabilitiesIndustryPractical understanding of mineral processing equipment and processes.SafetyKnowledge of Sibelco's safety regulations and ensures activities are in compliance with those regulations.Behavioral skills:Open mindedTeamplayerPro-activeAble to work independentlyMotivatedCommunication skillsEducational Background and prior professional experienceLanguage requirementsA2 Mechanics or equivalent by experienceGood knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumaticsKnowledge of materials and techniques (lifting and hoisting techniques, welding techniques,...) with the execution of operational activitiesKnowledge of general technical regulations and safety rulesCertificate to drive the forkliftTechnical English - read and understand textOther languages are an assetEmployee Type:PermanentWhy Join Us?Sibelco is more than a workplace—it's a community that encourages growth, innovation, and collaboration.
