You will manage your own cases, appear in court, take and defend depositions, and contribute to trial preparation and strategy. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to grow into a highly capable litigator and build a career in employment law. Responsibilities:Handle employment law cases from intake through resolutionConduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial documentsTake and defend depositionsArgue motions and appear in court regularlyWork closely with clients to develop case strategies and maintain communicationParticipate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiationsAssist in trial preparation and, when applicable, serve as second chair at trialQualifications:Active member in good standing with the California State BarMinimum of 2 year of experience practicing law; at least 1 year needs to be in plaintiff labor & employment lawExcellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsDeposition experience is required: candidates must have taken at least three (3) depositions
