Work Environment\n

As a remote-based counselor working for an outpatient facility, you will enjoy the flexibility of setting your work environment while also maintaining a strong connection with your colleagues through virtual platforms. Our standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet client needs. This setup allows you to impact clients effectively while achieving a balance between your professional responsibilities and personal life.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand clients' unique backgrounds and challenges, leading to the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's specific cultural context, personal history, and mental health goals.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that focus on addressing mental health concerns, enhancing resilience, and promoting overall well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and various healthcare professionals to ensure each client receives coordinated and comprehensive care.

• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies and helping clients navigate acute episodes effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them with knowledge and support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards and contribute to the continuous development of best practices within the team.

• Actively participate in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competence training sessions to enhance professional growth and skill sets.

• Stay current with research, emerging trends, and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly in culturally responsive treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid California state license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• Profound understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the principles of cultural competence in therapeutic practice.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy utilizing inclusive, culturally responsive methodologies.

• Exemplary crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and foster trust with a diverse client base.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
