Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting in-depth assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborating with clients to create tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs, aspirations, and situational factors.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients in managing their conditions.

• Providing education and resources to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment choices, and self-care techniques.

• Monitoring client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans, and documenting all client interactions accurately and confidentially.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other health professionals for integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of a client’s treatment journey are addressed.

• Staying current with advancements in the field to continually enhance therapeutic practices and improve client outcomes.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies for effective treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Great Valley Counseling Center works primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and require culturally competent care that embraces their unique experiences and challenges. As a mental health therapist, your role is crucial in guiding them through their journeys toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A solid foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly those relevant to mood disorders.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to establish rapport with clients and their families effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
