Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work environment while ensuring access to mental health services for clients in need across various communities. You will work during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, including but not limited to depression and anxiety, on clients’ daily functioning.

• Work collaboratively with clients to create individualized treatment plans that are aligned with their goals and tailored to their unique circumstances.
\n
• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective interventions.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies that enhance mental wellness.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in client circumstances or responses to interventions.
\n
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary collaboration, consulting with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care that addresses both psychological and medical needs.

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in mood disorder treatment by participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records that comply with legal and ethical standards governing mental health practices.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance clinical skills and share best practices among peers.
\n
• Act as an advocate for clients, working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health disorders and championing their rights within the healthcare system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is on providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety-related conditions. We serve a diverse population, which may include children, adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health challenges. Your role will directly contribute to helping these clients navigate their struggles and achieve improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is required.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with a strong ability to apply them in practice.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatric staff and optimal patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a community health setting is highly desirable.

• Prior experience in crisis intervention and management of severe mood disorders.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with a wide range of clients, adapting therapeutic techniques to meet individual needs.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
