Business Operations Associate

The Seasonal People & Operations Associate is responsible for owning and driving our temporary/seasonal recruitment cycles while supporting core People and Operational workflows. This role requires high attention to detail, exceptional candidate care, and strong tactical execution. This is a temporary role expected to run through December 15, 2026. While there may be the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role depending on business needs, candidates should apply with the understanding that the position is currently scoped as a fixed-term role. What You Will Do Employee Setup & Basic IT Support: Help set up new hires with equipment, systems access, and accounts (e.g., email, Slack, Rippling). Serve as a first point of contact for basic IT and technical troubleshooting, escalating more complex issues as needed. Onboarding & Offboarding Support: Assist with new hire onboarding logistics (sending offer letters, inputting data, scheduling training sessions) and offboarding tasks (asset retrieval, systems deactivation) at the end of the season. Operations Projects: Partner with the Operations team on a range of projects as needed, from process documentation to event or logistics support. Daily Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day tasks including responding to employee and vendor inquiries, processing state-specific onboarding requirements, and supporting employment verifications. Special Projects: Partner with the Operations team and CEO office on special projects as needed. Systems Management: Help maintain data integrity across our HR and operations tech stack, including tools like Rippling, Asana, Lever, and Greenhouse. About You Operations or Administrative Experience (2+ years): Experience supporting operations, HR, IT, or administrative functions, preferably in a fast-paced or startup environment. Exceptional Organization & Detail-Orientation: You cross your t’s and dot your i’s. Managing multiple candidate pipelines and scheduling across time zones doesn't rattle you. Clear & Concise Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering a warm, professional candidate experience and collaborating effectively via asynchronous tools (Slack, Asana, email). Handles Ambiguity & Discretion: Comfortable navigating the fluid priorities of seasonal hiring while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding candidate and employee data. Tech Savvy: Able to quickly learn and manage technical systems for Operations and HR functions Additional Qualifications (desired but not required) Previous experience using Greenhouse and Rippling. Previous work in or exposure to the political, progressive, or civic technology space. Role Logistics The People & Operations Team is focused on building efficient processes and systems that support the entirety of our organization in achieving its mission. The Seasonal People Operations Associate is an individual contributor who reports to the Director of People & Operations. $65,000 - $75,000 a year Classification: Temporary / Seasonal Full-Time (fixed role through December 15, 2026) Salary/Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually Sponsorship: Civitech is unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time; all applicants must possess independent US work authorization.
