Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote setting, enabling flexibility while maintaining a close connection with our outpatient office and multi-disciplinary team. While you will primarily work from home, you will engage in collaborative team meetings and case discussions to stay aligned with our treatment goals. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours required based on scheduled appointments. You will be expected to maintain a structured work schedule that promotes efficiency and client accessibility.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, enabling early identification of co-occurring disorders.

• Work closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based interventions, ensuring that both mental health and substance use needs are addressed.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in developing effective coping strategies, emotional regulation techniques, and relapse prevention skills.

• Engage in regular monitoring of clients' substance use, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to enhance their commitment to recovery.

• Educate clients and their families on the dynamics between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence.

• Document treatment progress and interventions accurately and timely, following ethical and legal standards to ensure compliance and quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus primarily on clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, requiring an understanding of the complexities involved in these interrelated conditions. You will facilitate recovery for a diverse client population, tailoring your approaches to meet their unique personal histories, challenges, and aspirations, while fostering an environment of empathy and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Proficiency in evidence-based practices specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of mental health and substance use disorder interactions, with the ability to recognize and address the nuances in treatment.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, allowing effective engagement in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience providing counseling services in an outpatient setting.
