Description – What You'll Do

• Conduct both routine and specialized laboratory tests, covering a wide range of disciplines such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering to established protocols for accuracy and safety.
• Evaluate test outcomes for precision, resolve discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance as well as calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Provide assistance in specimen collection and ensure samples are appropriately prepared for testing.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of procedures, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to maintaining high laboratory quality standards.
• Uphold a safe and clean working environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of hire.
• Maintain current certification for the duration of employment.
