Description What You'll Do

• Conduct both standard and complex laboratory tests in disciplines such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering to established protocols.
• Examine findings for correctness, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on lab equipment.
• Support specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis when needed.
• Meticulously document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and ensure lab quality standards are consistently met.
• Maintain a safe and orderly workspace, complying with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain certification throughout your tenure at the facility.
