Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work onsite in our outpatient office located in Carson City, a vibrant community known for its scenic beauty and commitment to healthcare advancement. The work setting provides a collaborative environment where healthcare professionals come together to optimize patient care. The regular work schedule is from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. Community outreach events may also require participation on weekends, ensuring our commitment to public health remains a priority.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Amedisys, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive primary care services to patients across all age groups, ensuring that each individual's unique health concerns are addressed.
• Conducting detailed physical examinations, accurately diagnosing and treating common illnesses, and managing chronic conditions effectively.
• Performing routine health screenings and preventive assessments tailored to the patient demographic.
• Collaborating with doctors, nurses, social workers, and other health professionals to develop a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Educating patients on preventive care tactics and wellness strategies that promote long-term health.
• Utilizing electronic health records (EHR) to document patient information efficiently and maintain accurate medical histories.
• Attending regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and promote a cohesive team environment.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated with the latest advancements in healthcare practices.

This position serves a diverse patient population, including individuals and families from varying backgrounds, particularly those in underserved communities. Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a valid state nursing license.
• A Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in family or community health settings.
• Demonstrable strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interactions with diverse patient populations.
• A steadfast commitment to social justice and health equity, particularly in advocating for vulnerable communities.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
