CNC Programmer Lead

Job Description

Windsor Beach Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer Lead to lead CNC programming and machining process development for our high-mix, precision manufacturing operation serving medical, aerospace, and defense customers .

This position combines hands-on CNC programming with technical leadership, focusing on improving setup efficiency, standardizing machining processes, and supporting production.

Key Responsibilities

Lead CNC programming for mill、swiss、grinding EDM
Develop and optimize machining processes, tooling, fixtures, feeds/speeds, and toolpaths.
Review new RFQs and drawings for machining feasibility, cycle time, setup requirements, and technical risks .
Support machinists during setup, first-piece approval, and troubleshooting.
Reduce setup time, cycle time, scrap, and machine downtime .
Establish standardized tool libraries, programming standards, setup documentation, and proven processes .
Review and improve existing CNC programs and post-processors.
Assign and prioritize programming work based on the production schedule.
Mentor programmers and machinists and improve overall CNC technical capability.
Work closely with Production and Quality to resolve manufacturing and dimensional issues.

Qualifications

7+ years of CNC programming / precision machining experience.
Strong experience with multi-axis CNC machining , especially 5-axis milling.
Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Esprit, NX, or similar .
Strong understanding of GD&T, tooling, workholding, cutting parameters, and CNC code.
Ability to troubleshoot programs directly from G-code / NC code .
Experience in high-mix / low-volume precision manufacturing preferred.
Medical, aerospace, or defense manufacturing experience is a plus.
Previous lead or technical leadership experience preferred.
