Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvement.
• Deliver focused speech therapy interventions aimed at various aspects such as voice, fluency, communication, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and families, ensuring support for ongoing progress between therapy sessions.
• Handle occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining seamless continuity of care.
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation in compliance with relevant legal and organizational standards.
• Continue professional development and stay abreast of advancements in the speech therapy field through educational opportunities and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
