Inside Sales Representative

Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing and growing existing accounts while developing new business opportunities. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for customers—providing product guidance, pricing, and order support—while driving revenue, margin, and overall account performance.

This role has a base + commission compensation structure (the pay range listed is the starting base range)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide product knowledge, application guidance, and solutions to customers
• Prepare, quote, and negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms
• Manage order entry, review, and credit processing
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships; resolve issues proactively
• Source materials and coordinate with vendors to meet customer needs
• Prospect and generate new business through outbound outreach
• Follow up on quotes to drive conversion and close rates
• Partner cross-functionally with outside sales, purchasing, and leadership
• Support order expediting and ensure on-time delivery
• Participate in sales meetings and ongoing product training
• Track activity and provide regular sales updates and forecasts

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of inside sales or account management experience (distribution or industrial products preferred)
• Experience within plastics or related materials highly preferred
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and CRM systems

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
