Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and current mental health status, enabling accurate treatment planning.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing journeys.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing patients with a safe space to process trauma, develop coping skills, and engage in therapeutic discussions.

• Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate treatment strategies.

• Deliver prompt crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and assist patients in navigating acute stress responses.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma-related responses, coping strategies, and available community resources, enhancing their support systems.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work extensively with individuals impacted by trauma, ranging from childhood adversity to adult experiences. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure professional experience in mental health counseling, particularly focusing on trauma-related interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
