Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments through preliminary interviews, documenting cases systematically from client intake through treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify needs and establish a foundation for effective therapeutic interventions.

• Create tailored intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring accessibility and suitability for diverse client backgrounds.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing innovative therapeutic practices and evidence-based techniques.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to enhance intervention strategies and overall client care.

• Follow up with medical professionals for clients admitted to hospitals to ensure continuity of care and adjustment of mental health strategies as required.

• Educate families and primary caregivers on managing mental and behavioral challenges, fostering a holistic approach to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at our center, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clientele may struggle with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance abuse disorders. Your role will directly impact these individuals’ well-being, promoting resilience and facilitating personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant examinations, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage patient data effectively.

• Experience working with clients with co-occurring physical health conditions or substance use disorders.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical considerations in mental health care.

• In-depth understanding of the effects of psychiatric medications and their implications for client treatment plans.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to establish rapport with clients and team members.

• Demonstrated ability to approach counseling with empathy and understanding, facilitating a supportive therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
