Purchasing Manager - Norton Shores Area

The Opportunity
We are working with companies in Norton Shores that are adding Purchasing Managers to their teams. These organizations value quality over speed in hiring. By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
- Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance evaluation.
- Oversee inventory levels and procurement processes to ensure timely material availability.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents and buyers.
- Collaborate with production and engineering to forecast material needs and identify new suppliers.
- Monitor market trends and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of cost reduction and supplier negotiation
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and purchasing software
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
