Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, focusing on mental health, substance abuse, and related medical needs tailored to the school environment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students, addressing their unique challenges through counseling and intervention strategies.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to enable students to build coping strategies, resilience, and interpersonal skills.

• Perform regular documentation of mental health evaluations, progress notes, intake assessments, and suicide risk assessments in accordance with organizational policies.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, escalating patient concerns to appropriate providers or community resources.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to offer social work support, referrals, and insights into student needs and community resources.

• Engage in data collection and quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students within the school system who require mental health support, coping strategies, and resources. You will work closely with children, adolescents, and their families to foster communication and understanding, guiding them through mental health challenges often exacerbated by academic pressures and social challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active, valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work is required, along with a minimum of three years of post-licensure experience within a clinical, school, or community health setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and the ability to exercise independent judgment regarding clinical matters is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
