Position Overview

Elite Family and Youth Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our telehealth team in Olympia, Washington. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ mental health statuses, utilizing evidence-based evaluations to inform your treatment approach.
• Developing personalized therapeutic plans aimed at addressing individual client needs, including coping strategies, behavioral modifications, and ongoing support mechanisms.
• Regularly meeting with clients, either alone or in group formats, to monitor their progress, adjust treatment plans, and provide the necessary tools for overcoming challenges.
• Facilitating referrals to additional healthcare providers such as psychiatrists when medication management or specialized interventions are required.
• Documenting all client interactions and treatment progress accurately within our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from youth to adults, facing a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will be expected to employ culturally responsive and inclusive methodologies to address the unique needs of a diverse population. Your ability to connect and build rapport will be essential in helping clients feel heard and respected in their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Washington State.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating essential counseling techniques and methodologies.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices.
• Effective crisis intervention skills, with the ability to approach challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to establish a trusting therapeutic environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technology.

Compensation and Benefits
