TransDigm's decentralized operating model empowers business units with accountability and autonomy while driving financial performance through value-based operating strategies.The Financial Analyst is a key member of the finance organization responsible for partnering with business unit leadership to improve financial performance through standardized processes, data-driven analysis, and operational support. This role combines financial planning and analysis with process improvement and accounting responsibilities, providing broad exposure to all aspects of a manufacturing finance organization.The position is designed to develop future finance leaders by building a strong understanding of business operations, financial reporting, and controllership. As the individual gains experience, responsibilities will expand to include ownership of accounting processes, month-end close activities, and financial controls.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner directly with assigned Business Unit Manager(s) to provide financial analysis, identify risks and opportunities, and support operational decision making.Develop, standardize, and document financial processes, reports, and analytical tools to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.Build and maintain financial models supporting forecasts, pricing, profitability analysis, capital investments, labor productivity, and strategic initiatives.Analyze monthly financial results, investigate variances, and prepare actionable recommendations for business and finance leadership.Support the annual operating plan, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.Drive continuous improvement by automating manual reporting, improving data quality, and identifying opportunities to eliminate non-value-added activities.Assist with the preparation of management reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and executive presentations.Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, and accounting to improve financial visibility and business performance.Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.Gradually assume ownership of accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close responsibilities, and balance sheet reviews.Develop a comprehensive understanding of plant operations and financial drivers to serve as a trusted business partner.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, or manufacturing finance.Strong analytical and financial modeling skills using Microsoft Excel.Experience working with ERP systems and large datasets.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial leaders.Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Manufacturing or industrial finance experience.Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.Knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close processes.Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other business intelligence tools.What We Offer Salary based on experience: $110,000 to $150,000Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageGenerous 401(k) matchCommuter benefits within Stanford Research ParkComplimentary EV chargingPaid time off and holidaysWe value the unique and diverse skills, qualities, and backgrounds that each employee brings to TransDigm Group Incorporated, and we respect each employee as an integral member of our growing team.
