About the company

We're supporting a seed-stage robotics software startup. They build the system that coordinates robots, people and workflows across warehouse and factory operations. The product is already live with large enterprise customers, and the company is backed by top-tier investors.

\n

The role

\n

This is the company's first dedicated talent hire. You'll own hiring from start to finish as the team grows quickly, with most hires in engineering. There's no playbook to inherit. You'll build the process as you go, with direct access to the founders.

\n

This isn't a back-office role. You'll have a real say in how the company hires. Most of your time will go on recruiting and headhunting. The rest will go on people operations and some support for the sales team.

What you'll do

\n

Recruiting

\n

\n
• Run full-cycle hiring for robotics, software, systems and field deployment engineers
\n
• Headhunt passive talent in robotics, ML and infrastructure rather than waiting for applicants
\n
• Map the companies, labs and teams where the best robotics engineers work, and use that to guide sourcing
\n
• Source through LinkedIn, GitHub, research networks, universities and referrals
\n
• Keep in touch with strong candidates who aren't ready to move yet
\n
• Work with the founders to agree role scope and priorities before each search starts
\n
• Manage offers, negotiation and closing alongside the founders
\n

Operations

\n

\n
• Own the hiring tools, including the ATS, sourcing tools, scheduling and reporting
\n
• Build repeatable processes: job description templates, outreach sequences, interview scorecards and pipeline reports
\n
• Track and report on hiring metrics
\n
• Support onboarding and basic HR tasks for new starters
\n

What you'll bring

\n

\n
• 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing to closing
\n
• A track record of finding and closing passive candidates on your own
\n
• Technical hiring experience at a startup or fast-growing company
\n
• Confidence with LinkedIn Recruiter and modern sourcing tools
\n
• Strong judgment and tact when closing in-demand candidates
\n
• The ambition to grow into the company's head of talent
\n

• Agency experience, either high-volume or mid-level executive search
\n
• Experience with AI-based recruiting tools
\n
• Familiarity with HR operations, onboarding and payroll tools
