Bookkeeper

A client in the Las Vegas area is seeking two Remote Bookkeepers for a contract position till October 15th 2026. This opportunity is for two Bookkeepers to support a fast-paced accounting team through October 15, 2026. Candidates may work remotely or from Las Vegas, NV, with a preference for availability during Pacific Standard Time business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST). The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience and a strong background in accrual accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and bookkeeping cleanup projects. This role requires the ability to manage a high volume of client accounts simultaneously, independently review financial records, identify and resolve discrepancies, and exercise sound accounting judgment. Bookkeepers will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, reviewing work completed by offshore accounting teams, and partnering closely with U.S.-based colleagues to resolve outstanding issues and obtain necessary documentation. Experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop is required, while exposure to real estate accounting, 1031 exchanges, outsourced accounting services, or advanced Excel and Google Sheets functions is highly preferred. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, highly organized, responsive, and capable of thriving in a deadline-driven environment supporting critical tax and backlog reduction initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
QuickBooks Online and Xero proficiency
Experience managing high-volume workloads (15-20 books at a time; 60-80 books monthly)
Experience with accrual accounting
Experience with bookkeeping clean-up and catch-up projects
Ability to independently review books, identify discrepancies, and make accounting judgment calls
Experience supporting multiple tax entity types and taxable entities
Strong organizational skills, accountability, responsiveness, and attention to detail
Comfortable collaborating with U.S. teams and offshore accounting partners
