Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting an elementary special education classroom with a manageable caseload of up to 8 students. Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher license in Michigan required
Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
Dedication to meeting the diverse educational and social-emotional needs of students
Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching in a dynamic classroom setting

Core Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons designed for individual education plans (IEPs)
Develop positive relationships with students to encourage academic and personal growth
Work alongside general education teachers and support staff to coordinate instructional strategies
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere within the classroom
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals
