Health Office Assistant

Job Title
Under the direction of the District Nurse, perform a variety of clerical duties and basic medical services in support of student health services; administer basic first aid and screen ill or injured students; prepare and maintain student immunization and health records and files.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school. One year of clerical or health office experience.

Location: Country Hills Elementary School Work Schedule: 6 hrs./day, 5.0 days/week, 9.5 mos./year Shift: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Sick leave and vacation are earned on a prorated basis. There is an available insurance policy for hospitalization, major medical, dental, vision, and life. School employees must join the State School Employees Retirement System. California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: "Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee." Article VI, 6.3.2 states: "When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees."
