Labor & Employment Associate

Our AmLaw 100 client is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its nationally recognized Labor & Employment Practice in San Diego. This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior employment attorney looking to gain hands‑on litigation experience while advising employers on complex workplace issues. The role offers meaningful client interaction, strong mentorship, and exposure to sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters for employers across a broad range of industries. Role Overview The associate will represent employers in employment‑related litigation and provide practical day‑to‑day counseling on workplace issues. The practice includes high‑profile class actions, representative actions, and individual employment disputes, while also partnering with clients on compliance and risk management. Responsibilities may include: Defending employers in wage and hour class actions and representative actions Handling discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment litigation matters Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation filings Conducting legal research and developing litigation strategy Managing discovery and supporting depositions Assisting with trial preparation and settlement negotiations Advising employers on day‑to‑day employment law compliance and workplace best practices This position offers the opportunity to develop both litigation and advisory experience while working alongside a nationally recognized employment law team.
