Supervisor, Clinical Laboratory - Cologuard Weekend PM

Abbott

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor for weekend and night shift operations in Madison. This role directs off-shift laboratory operations, oversees regulatory compliance, supervises staff development, and ensures quality standards across testing processes.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day laboratory operations and supervise laboratory staff during off-shift hours
Ensure laboratory compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
Evaluate staff competency through observation, proficiency testing, and quality control reviews
Manage equipment, supplies, and departmental budgets in consultation with laboratory leadership
Resolve technical problems and implement corrective actions to maintain test performance standards

Requirements

CAP General Supervisor certification or eligibility
Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and clinical laboratory regulations
Laboratory supervision and staff management experience
Technical expertise in clinical laboratory procedures and quality management
Budget management and cost control capabilities
Ability to work Saturday-Monday, 6pm-6:30am schedule
