Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Soul Restore, you will be actively engaged in a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Incorporating Christian counseling principles into therapy sessions for clients who seek a faith-based approach to mental health.

• Delivering counseling services to clients referred from local church partners, enhancing community resources.

• Engaging in proactive community outreach and networking initiatives to build a robust caseload and attract new referrals.

• Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including social workers and clinical psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Maintaining up-to-date client records and entering detailed progress notes into our electronic health record (EHR) system in a timely manner.

• Communicating openly with the center director regarding scheduling, caseload, and general availability for services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Overall independence in licensure; candidates must possess or be able to obtain LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure in Washington, DC.

• A solid understanding of Biblical principles with knowledge of their application in counseling is essential.

• Minimum of one year of trauma counseling experience, demonstrating a commitment to best practices in mental health.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and consistently adhere to ethical guidelines established in the industry.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While the listed qualifications are required, we particularly value candidates who also possess:

• Experience with EMDR or a commitment to complete EMDR training within three months of hire.
