Position Summary

We are assisting our client in Jurupa Valley who is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their accounting team. This role is responsible for high-volume invoice processing, data entry, vendor communication, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of company obligations. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with Dynamics NAV (Navision) and sales tax compliance.

This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring all invoices are processed efficiently and in compliance with company policies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Review, verify, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Process high volumes of accounts payable transactions accurately and timely.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
• Maintain vendor accounts and ensure accurate payment records.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Assist with sales tax compliance and documentation.
• Compile financial data and generate reports for management review.
• Maintain organized AP files and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and account maintenance.

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience with invoice processing, account coding, and data entry.
• Working knowledge of Dynamics NAV (Navision).
• Understanding of sales tax requirements and compliance.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred

• Experience working in a manufacturing, food production, or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of vendor management and relationship building.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience assisting with reconciliations and month-end close activities.
