Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, providing flexibility while ensuring you have the necessary resources to perform effectively. Team meetings and case conferences will occur via virtual platforms, promoting an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere. Although you will primarily work from home, our hospice center serves as a vital resource, offering support in addressing complex emotional and behavioral challenges faced by our students. Regular communications with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and therapists, will be crucial in creating comprehensive care plans.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, identifying unique needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans focusing on mental health improvement, emotional regulation, and social integration.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions for ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma to enhance student well-being.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting therapeutic engagement and coping skills.

• Collaborate with educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to provide holistic support for students.
\n
• Respond to mental health crises with immediate intervention, ensuring the safety and support of affected students.

• Provide psychoeducation resources to students and their families, enhancing understanding of mental health conditions and available services.

• Maintain precise documentation in adherence to legal standards and ethical guidelines.

• Actively participate in team meetings and advisory committees to promote coordinated care efforts.

• Stay current on laws, regulations, and ethical practices applicable to clinical social work and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As part of the Special Education Program, you will primarily work with students facing diverse mental health challenges, such as those experiencing autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, trauma, and various emotional and behavioral disorders. Your empathetic and evidence-based approach will play a pivotal role in fostering resilience and facilitating there integration into the school community. By addressing the individual needs of each student, you will contribute significantly to their academic and emotional development.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in Texas is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
