Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Supervisor II is responsible for ensuring timely response, quality of service, and delivery of information technology (IT) support services to customers through general supervision of staff; coordinating staff activities; monitoring hardware and software upgrades; evaluating security risks and updating environment to mitigate risks; budget planning; activity scheduling; project delivery; staff hiring and training; providing after-hours support; attending meetings; developing statements of work; and coordinating IT initiatives with the California Department of Technology for the Technical Services Group.

Working Conditions

Monday through Friday, 0800-1700 hours onsite; some after hours as required; some travel as required.

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below. The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and 12-point Arial font.

1. Describe your experience supervising technical staff, including how you assign work, monitor performance, and ensure operational goals are met.

2. Describe your experience providing project oversight in an IT environment, including planning, coordination, prioritization, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

3. Describe how you have applied communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to resolve complex IT issues while supporting staff, customers, and organizational objectives.
