Position Title: Chief, Application Development & Maintenance Bureau Classification: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER II Salary Range: $11,388.00 - $13,842.00 Work Location: Sacramento County Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Overview The California Department of Insurance (CDI) needs a dynamic leader to manage production operations for enterprise-level applications and to prioritize workloads across multiple teams. The Chief, Application Development & Maintenance Bureau will orchestrate system upgrades, migrations, modernization efforts, and support the department’s AI and data‑analytics initiatives. Responsibilities Serve as Bureau Chief for the Application Development & Maintenance (ADAM) Bureau. Oversee all application development, maintenance, and release‑management activities for IT applications supporting the department’s business needs. Supervise four IT Manager I‑level Unit Chiefs and lead a team of at least 30 ITD staff. Develop and implement the department’s strategic and tactical IT plans. Coordinate department‑wide or multi‑branch IT initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts. Ensure compliance with the Conflict of Interest Code, including required filings and disclosures. Adhere to the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025 policies regarding pay differentials and leave credits.
