This role ensures EVS, Patient Transportation, and Linen employees are fully trained in safety, infection prevention, equipment use, environmental cleaning standards, patient experience principles, and regulatory compliance. The EVS Educator also leads initiatives that support employee engagement, career pathway development, and workforce retention—especially for entry-level and multilingual staff. This position directly supports quality, safety, regulatory readiness, and a positive healing environment across the hospital. Qualifications Degrees: Associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Education, Environmental Services or related field. Licenses & Certifications Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) or Trainer (CHESP) certification. Basic Life Support. Additional Qualifications Experience in Environmental Services, Transportation, and Linen Services in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of infection prevention standards, cleaning/disinfection protocols, and regulatory requirements. Experience conducting training or leading staff. Strong communication skills, including ability to teach diverse and multilingual workforces. Ability to work effectively in patient-care environments.
