Job Location: Charlotte, NC Pay Rate: $19.70/hr
Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to a department or team. This role involves coordinating meetings, managing supply orders, supporting payroll activities for eligible staff, and maintaining accurate overtime reports. While administrative coordination is a key focus, a substantial portion of the role includes essential clerical duties. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to departmental staff and leadership.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and assist with logistics and scheduling.
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication professionally and efficiently.
- Manage routine clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, sorting mail, and data entry.
- Order office supplies and equipment; track inventory and manage vendor relationships.
- Assist with basic payroll functions, including processing overtime for eligible employees and generating overtime reports.
- Support preparation of various reports and documents as needed.
- Ensure smooth daily operations of the office environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role preferred.
