Classification: Non-Exempt Pay: $32.00to$35.00perhour Reportsto: President,ExecutiveVicePresident JobSummary: ThePayrollManagerwilloverseeandsupervisetheorganization’spayrollfunctions,ensuringpayisprocessedontime,accurately,andincompliancewithgovernmentregulationsincludingbutnotlimitedtoprevailingwagelaws,whereapplicable. SupervisoryResponsibilities: Recruits,interviews,hires,andtrainsnewstaffinthedepartment. Overseesthedailyworkflowofthedepartment. Providesconstructiveandtimelyperformanceevaluations. Duties/Responsibilities: Implements,maintains,andreviewspayrollprocessingsystemstoensuretimelyandaccurateprocessingofpayrolltransactionsincludingsalaries,benefits,garnishments,taxes,andotherdeductions. Ensuresaccurateandtimelyprocessingofpayrollupdatesincludingnewhires,terminations,andchangestopayrates. Preparesandmaintainsaccuraterecordsandreportsofpayrolltransactions. Ensurescompliancewithfederal,state,andlocalpayroll,wage,andhourlawsandbestpractices. Reviewandauditssubcontractorpayrollcompliancedocumentsforassignedprojects. ReviewsandpreparesWorker'sCompensationinsurancecarriermonthlypayrollsubmittals. Facilitatesauditsbyprovidingrecordsanddocumentationtoauditors. Identifiesandrecommendsupdatestopayrollprocessingsoftware,systems,andprocedures. Performsotherdutiesasassigned. RequiredSkills/Abilities: Extensiveknowledgeofthepayrollfunctionincludingpreparation,balancing,internalcontrol,andpayrolltaxes. Excellentorganizationalskillsandattentiontodetail. Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskills. Strongsupervisoryandleadershipskills. ProficientwithMicrosoftOfficeSuiteorrelatedsoftware. Proficientwithpayrollsoftware. EducationandExperience: Bachelor’sdegreeinAccounting,BusinessAdministration,HumanResources,orrelatedfieldrequired. 3-5yearsofrelatedexperiencerequired. PhysicalRequirements: Prolongedperiodsofsittingatadeskandworkingonacomputer. Mustbeabletolift15poundsattimes.
