Director, Internal Sales Desk

Our client is a leading organization in the insurance and financial services industry and they are seeking an experienced Director, Internal Sales to lead a high-performing Internal Sales Desk. About the Role This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving distribution growth, developing top sales talent, and delivering exceptional presales support across the organization. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Internal Wholesalers and Sales Support Specialists to drive sales performance and professional growth. Execute sales strategies that increase distribution growth, pipeline development, and opportunity conversion. Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize sales processes, enhance client experience, and improve operational efficiency. Establish and monitor key performance metrics, service standards, and sales KPIs to ensure team success. Oversee presales support operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality service for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with senior leadership to align Sales Desk initiatives with broader business and distribution objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 5+ years of progressive sales leadership or people management experience. 7+ years of experience within insurance, financial services, or a related distribution environment. Active Life & Health Insurance License required. Life Insurance and Annuities experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales teams and cross-functional initiatives. Strong analytical, communication, coaching, and leadership skills. Experience improving operational processes and driving measurable business results.
