About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour / Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in the specialty applying for required. License: Must have a permanent state license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Must work at least every other holiday. - ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessments are required during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is mandatory. Description: Position for a qualified registered nurse in a medical/surgical telemetry unit. The potential exists to float to other units to care for the same patient population. Rotating shifts are required, including night and day shifts. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. Active license and certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. One professional reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty applying for is required. Candidates must not have any open cases in the background check. A negative 10-panel drug screen is required within the last 12 months, with an update required annually. Nursing staff may have temporary exemptions from nicotine-free requirements. Candidates cannot return to the facility for one year from their previous end date. All background checks must be completed within 48 hours of signing a contract. Extensions can be granted for a period of up to 18 months, requiring a 6-month break afterward. Candidates must complete annual competency requirements if they return for a subsequent contract in the new calendar year. Failure to complete these requirements will result in removal from the schedule until compliance is achieved. Modules related to annual competencies are required and may include pre-start training.
