Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses, identifying individual needs and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement effective therapeutic interventions, utilizing a variety of techniques such as therapeutic exercises, stretching, manual therapy, and specialized equipment.
• Document patients' progress meticulously, tracking treatment responses and outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as needed to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to educate them about the therapeutic process, setting realistic rehabilitation goals.
• Design and recommend the use of assistive devices and other equipment to enhance patient mobility and independent functioning.
• Engage with patients, caregivers, and families to provide training and support regarding rehabilitation techniques and exercises.
• Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices through continuous professional development, including attending workshops and conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will mainly work with a diverse range of patients, including children and adults dealing with musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, post-operative recovery, and more. Each patient presents unique challenges and requirements; your expertise will be crucial in customizing treatments that ensure effective rehabilitation and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and treatment planning.
• A flexible and adaptive mindset to accommodate individual patient needs and treatment approaches.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
