Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunities await for experienced Special Education Teachers ready to make an impact working onsite with elementary students for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position begins September 8, 2026, and runs through June 17, 2027, offering the chance to shape the academic and behavioral growth of students in a supportive setting.

You’ll have the opportunity to join a dedicated staff where your skills will be valued across several openings. Some positions focus on behavior classrooms where experience working with elementary students exhibiting physical aggression and elopement is essential. Others involve high-volume Learning Resource Classrooms, with an average caseload of 43 students—you should be confident running dynamic environments that support academic and social development.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Special Education license/certification in Oregon
• Substantial experience managing behaviors in elementary-age students (physical aggression, elopement)
• Demonstrated expertise running high-volume Learning Resource Classrooms
• Onsite-only availability for the entirety of the contract period
• Willingness to provide the contact information for your three most recent supervisor references—this is a requirement for consideration
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom and collaborating with school support teams

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement customized educational plans that address both behavioral and academic needs
• Support a positive, structured classroom culture where students can thrive
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service teams, and administrators
• Maintain accurate records and meet all reporting requirements
• Engage families and communicate regularly about student progress
