Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful contract role supporting students in special education settings, beginning September 8, 2026 and running through June 17, 2027. Work exclusively onsite with a welcoming school community dedicated to student achievement and professional collaboration. We are seeking passionate educators to fill five full-time positions, each offering 37.5 hours per week.

There are placements in both Behavior Classrooms (elementary level—ideal for those with significant experience supporting students exhibiting behaviors such as physical aggression or building elopement) and in a high volume Learning Resource Classroom, averaging 43 students. In both environments, your skills and commitment will make a lasting difference.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active Special Education teaching certification/license in Oregon
• Proven experience in elementary behavior classrooms, including managing challenging behaviors
• Demonstrated ability to lead high volume LRCs and effectively serve large student caseloads
• Onsite availability for the entire duration of the assignment
• Candidates must provide contact information for their three most recent supervisor references (required for consideration)

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt instruction to accommodate student needs and foster inclusive learning environments
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student development
• Utilize behavioral management strategies and data-driven interventions
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress
