Metrology Specialist - Laboratory Equipment & Instrumentation

Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina

Eurofins seeks a Metrology Specialist to maintain, calibrate, and validate laboratory instrumentation in a regulated environment. The role involves equipment troubleshooting, compliance documentation, and collaboration with laboratory teams to ensure operational reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, calibration, qualification, and validation on laboratory instruments per procedures
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair routine and complex instrumentation failures
Ensure instruments maintain validated, compliant status through preventive maintenance
Support implementation and qualification of new laboratory equipment
Document all maintenance, repairs, investigations, and validation activities per quality standards

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Information Technology, or related discipline
8+ years of laboratory instrumentation, metrology, equipment maintenance, or validation experience
Hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory instrumentation
Experience documenting technical investigations, deviations, and non-routine equipment issues
Technical writing skills for procedures, reports, protocols, and investigations
Equipment qualification and validation experience in regulated environments
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
