What You'll Do
The DGA seeks a Contracts Coordinator to work in the Guild's national headquarters in Los Angeles, CA to assist with the Basic Agreement, specifically focused on TV Director issues.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Contracts team and Executives on enforcement of the Basic Agreement and on various organizing objectives.
- Comprehensive understanding of DGA contracts covering employment in the film and television industry.
- Evaluating studio-submitted waivers pertaining to a Director's creative and economic rights.
- Outreach to DGA members and studio representatives to discuss employment issues, economic rights & creative rights.
- Resolving contract disputes with studio counterparts, including filing contract grievances as necessary.
- Develop and drive contract enforcement campaigns.
- Support executive team in collective bargaining research and preparation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work closely with a team as well as independently
- Intellectual curiosity
- Flexibility, organization, and ability to prioritize
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations professionally
- Comfort communicating with a wide range of individuals, including member leaders, attorneys, agents, and non-members
- Excellent analytical and computer skills; proficiency with Excel
- Previous experience with union representation helpful but not required.
- Work onsite 5 days per week.
- Undergraduate degree required.
Starting Salary Range: $68,000-75,000 depending on experience

This position is on-site at our Los Angeles headquarters 5 days a week.
