Salary Range: $45,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Plainwell seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment to vendors.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues.
• Generate and send customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and support collection efforts.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, electronic payments, and other disbursements.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable and receivable files and records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and receivable.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for financial transactions.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• Proven ability to reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail for processing invoices and payments accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience with purchase order systems and three-way matching
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers regarding payment discrepancies
